I realise I keep asking questions but I'm stuck!

My family recently adopted a kitten, but the only problem is, he's outisde and he can't get in because there are stairs. He's hungry and I've put food outside, but that doesn't solve the major problem of the fact that he's outside. I've tried to make them pick him up, but they just put him down again :/

Can anyone help me?

Tell them to pick him up twice (so there's a queue) and then immediately tell them to go inside. It takes a couple of tries sometimes if they're being stupid. You can also tell them to snuggle it, then go inside; sometimes that works too.

I second this.

And a tip (for puppies). It's better to leave puppies outside (so they can't get in). They'll automatically pee outside, making housebreaking easier. I had a family of dogs where none of the puppies ever needed to come inside (all their stuff was outside) and none of them ever peed on the floor. They just automatically started peeing in the same place the parents peed.
